CNC Machining
Overview — CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machining is a precision manufacturing process where pre-programmed computer software controls the movement of factory tools and machinery. CNC Machinists are critical in manufacturing industries — producing precision parts for aerospace, automotive, medical devices, defence equipment, and heavy engineering. Our course provides practical, hands-on training in the operation, programming, and maintenance of CNC machines.
Level — Short-Term Vocational Skill Course
Duration — 3 to 6 Months
Eligibility — Class 10th or 12th pass (ITI or Diploma in Mechanical or Production preferred). Interest in precision manufacturing and machinery. Basic mathematics including measurements and geometry.
Key Topics — Introduction to CNC Technology and Manufacturing, CNC Lathe and CNC Milling Machine Operation, G-Code and M-Code Programming, CAD/CAM Software basics including AutoCAD and Mastercam, Work Holding, Tool Setting and Offsets, Quality Control and Inspection using Vernier and Micrometer, CNC Machine Maintenance and Troubleshooting, Safety Standards and Shop Floor Practices.
