GNM is a 3-year diploma-level nursing programme that prepares students to become skilled and compassionate nurses across hospitals, maternity wards, community health centres, and clinics. GNM is regulated by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and various State Nursing Councils, ensuring standardized, high-quality training across all approved institutions.
Level — Diploma Level (Healthcare / Nursing)
Duration — 3 Years + 6 Months Internship
Eligibility — Class 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Minimum 40% to 50% marks.
Course Fees — Rs.3,50,000/- to Rs.5,80,000/-
Career Options — Staff Nurse in government and private hospitals. Community Health Nurse and ANM Supervisor. School Health Nurse. Industrial Nurse. Military Nursing Service (Army, Navy, Air Force). Midwife and Delivery Room Nurse. International nursing career in Gulf countries, UK, and Canada. Higher studies in B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic).
Salary — Government hospitals (Staff Nurse): Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 45,000 per month. Private hospitals: Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month. Abroad (Gulf, UK, Canada): Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 3,00,000 per month equivalent. Senior and Head Nurse: Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 60,000 per month.
