Overview
D.Pharm is a 2-year diploma-level programme that trains students in pharmaceutical sciences, drug dispensing, medicine management, and patient counselling. It is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and is the minimum qualification required to work as a registered pharmacist in India.
D.Pharm graduates can work in retail pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies, or use it as a stepping stone towards the B.Pharm degree.
Level — Diploma
Duration — 2 Years + 500 Hours Practical Training
Eligibility — Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics. Minimum 50% marks.
Course Fees — Rs.2,75,000/- to Rs.3,40,000/-
Career Options — Registered Pharmacist in retail and hospital pharmacies. Medical Representative and Pharma Sales Executive. Drug Inspector (Government, after experience and additional exams). Community Pharmacist and own pharmacy. Quality Control Technician in pharmaceutical companies. Higher studies: B.Pharm via lateral entry into 2nd year.
