MSME Tool Room, Kolkata (Central Tool Room & Training Centre) an ISO 18001:2007 (OHSAS), ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 21001:2018 certified Centre, has been established in the year 1978 under Technical Cooperation Programme between Governments of India and Denmark. The Management of affairs of the Centre rests with the Governing Council constituted by Govt. of India. Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner (MSME) Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India is the President of the Society and Chairman of its Governing Council.

Apart from the manufacturing and design and production business vertical, CTTC also boasts of a huge infrastructure with modern labs for training in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Computer Science with state-of-the-art advanced software/simulation labs/Robotics programming, DCS/NC/CNC, High-end PLC and Mechanical Design and Simulation packages, etc. The Centre has been conducting AICTE approved Engineering Diploma courses in Tool & Die Making, Mechatronics & Mechanical Engineering & several skill development training programmes successfully, as per National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) accredited by National Council for Vocational Education & Training (NCVET) & mapped to National Occupational Standard (NOS). Our training includes cutting edge areas of technology like Robotics, Matlab, Embedded systems, VLSI etc apart from 3D printing, normal CNC, PLC DCS and Fluid Mechanics and control logics and software training on NX, solid Modelling in solid works, solid Edge, Autodesk Modeller and ANSYS and PRO-E trainings on advanced machines with live projects and various state of the art simulation software training for Mechanical, civil and electrical, electronics students are being carried out..
